S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. is seeking a Leasing Consultant for our Artist Space Lofts community in Petersburg, VA. Responsibilities
- Abide by Fair Housing Laws
- Provide tours of apartments to prospective residents
- Run credit reports on prospective residents
- Prepare lease packets
- Inspect apartments prior to showing them
- Maintain logs of traffic through the property
- Lease units
- Provide information over the telephone to prospective residents
- Maintain a visible public relations attitude toward current and prospective residents
- Type and file property-related reports (occasional)
- Assist with rent collection, bank deposits, or other general errands (occasional)
- Assist with resident retention activities (occasional)
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Some advanced real estate training, including familiarity with Landlord-Tenant and Fair Housing laws, and prior experience in a leasing position (preferred)
- Valid Driver's License (if operating a vehicle)
- Ability to perform physical activities including typing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, climbing stairs, or sitting for periods of time
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Hours worked will coincide with community hours of operation; may be required to work weekends as necessary
