S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. is seeking a Leasing Consultant for our Artist Space Lofts community in Petersburg, VA. Responsibilities

• Abide by Fair Housing Laws
• Provide tours of apartments to prospective residents
• Run credit reports on prospective residents
• Prepare lease packets
• Inspect apartments prior to showing them
• Maintain logs of traffic through the property
• Lease units
• Provide information over the telephone to prospective residents
• Maintain a visible public relations attitude toward current and prospective residents
• Type and file property-related reports (occasional)
• Assist with rent collection, bank deposits, or other general errands (occasional)
• Assist with resident retention activities (occasional)

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Some advanced real estate training, including familiarity with Landlord-Tenant and Fair Housing laws, and prior experience in a leasing position (preferred)
• Valid Driver's License (if operating a vehicle)
• Ability to perform physical activities including typing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, climbing stairs, or sitting for periods of time
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
• Hours worked will coincide with community hours of operation; may be required to work weekends as necessary
