Leasing Consultant
About the role
The Leasing Consultant at Campus Apartments is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the property to ensure customer satisfaction, fiscal stability, and good physical condition. This role includes leasing assistance, managing property availability, approving rental applications, maintaining property licenses, and responding to resident concerns.
Responsibilities
- Aid in leasing efforts to achieve full lease-up and maintain high occupancy levels
- Mailing renewal offers, logging responses, and managing property availability
- Accurately record and manage property availability for lease renewal reports
- Approve, enter, and present rental applications to the General Manager for execution
- Manage property licenses and the renewal process through liaison with legal counsel and the City
- Check out residents, accept keys, perform inspections, and ensure compliance with final account statements
- Ensure accuracy and efficiency in lease signing and resident check-ins
- Investigate and respond to resident concerns in a timely manner, fostering good public relations
- Prepare weekly reports related to property performance as required
- Develop and implement advertising/marketing programs to position the property in the marketplace
- Develop and implement resident retention programs
- Communicate courteously with residents, applicants, employees, and vendors
- Perform general administrative duties such as filing, typing, answering phones, and using various office equipment
- Operate and maintain computer systems and software including Microsoft Office
- Follow through with paperwork and meet deadlines
- Display a positive, professional, and enthusiastic attitude
- Communicate effectively and professionally in a fast-paced environment
- Think logically and apply standardized procedures with occasional deviations
- Adhere to all relevant laws and regulations
Requirements
Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, first aid/cpr certification, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance. Computer skills, math ability, and knowledge of Entrata are preferred.
Skills
Must possess excellent customer service skills, ability to type accurately, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Knowledge of logical thinking and adherence to federal, state, and local laws are also essential.
