About the role
We're seeking a talented leasing consultant to coordinate all activities related to apartment rentals, move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals. This position involves interacting directly with prospective and current residents to achieve maximum occupancy and ensure resident satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Qualifies prospective residents and leases apartments.
- Prepares lease documentation and completes move-in paperwork.
- Maintains accurate and detailed records of traffic activity.
- Follows up with prospective residents via phone, mail, or email.
- Coordinates move-in/out needs and schedules with the maintenance team.
- Reviews move-in paperwork with new residents.
- Completes weekly leasing reports in an accurate and timely manner.
- Ensures all open and close procedures are completed daily.
- Assists with ongoing resident relations and responds to requests promptly and accurately.
- Supports management by providing clerical support such as answering phone calls, filing, and processing property invoices.
- May assist with planning and implementing resident activities to increase retention.
- Supports the property's safety and cleanliness by inspecting buildings and grounds.
- Processes work order requests for residents and ensures work is completed in a timely manner.
- Complies with all company policies, applicable health and safety rules, and local, state, and federal laws.
Requirements
- A high school diploma is required.
- One year of previous sales experience is preferred.
- One year of previous residential leasing experience is preferred.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience in Yardi Voyager or another equivalent system is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Sensitivity to confidential matters.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
- To be eligible for this position, you must complete and successfully pass the Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within the first 30 days of employment.
