About the role

Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) is a leader in the property management industry, known for a collaborative culture, career advancement opportunities, and competitive compensation. The Leasing Consultant serves as the community’s sales representative, greeting clients, presenting community features and benefits, and securing lease agreements from qualified applicants.

Responsibilities

• Collect deposits and process future residents’ applications.
• Ensure model/target apartments are ready for showings and maintain a clean workspace.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of lease terms, unit specifications, availability, market conditions, and community policies; understand required application information, screening process, policies, and procedures.
• Utilize proper customer service and sales techniques.
• Maintain contact with apartment locator services and local businesses to provide informational material.
• “Shop” surrounding or competing properties and conduct outreach marketing.
• Develop and maintain ongoing resident retention programs.
• Create new move‑in resident files and assist with ongoing file maintenance.
• Report unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents.
• Handle resident requests and complaints courteously and efficiently.
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.

Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to remain professional and courteous in a fast‑paced environment.
• Organized with attention to detail.
• Customer service experience preferred, especially in a leasing role.

Pay

Full‑Time: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
