Diversified Gas & Oil Corporation (“DGOC”) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Diversified Energy Company PLC, a US-based company listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and London Stock Exchange (LSE) under the ticker symbol “DEC”. DGOC is an established owner and operator of producing conventional and unconventional natural gas & oil wells and midstream pipelines and compression stations concentrated in the Appalachian Basin in the United States. Field operations are located throughout the Appalachian Basin in Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, with expansion into Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.

About the role

This is an entry-level Lease Operator or Lease Operator in training position. You will monitor, maintain, and report on the operation of wells and sites on an assigned route under general supervision. Most problems will require consultation with a supervisor or Lease Operator Lead.

Responsibilities

  • Make routine checks on all well sites according to schedule.
  • Monitor production equipment including compressors, pumpjacks, plunger lift, dehydrators, meters, separators, and safety devices; perform light maintenance to ensure equipment is well maintained and operating safely.
  • Inspect lease sites to ensure they are clean and free of debris and overgrown vegetation.
  • Manage daily fluid production; gauge and record oil and water tank levels.
  • Gather daily, monthly, and quarterly data; submit all required reports and tickets in a timely manner with few errors or missing information.
  • Recognize production-related issues and work with foreman and other personnel to troubleshoot and resolve.
  • Communicate regularly with production foreman on daily plans and issues; participate in periodic well reviews and safety meetings.
  • Work to optimize production in a safe, cost-effective manner.
  • Participate in on-call rotation schedule, which includes some nights and weekends.
  • Check for and address spills, fluid leaks, and trip hazards.
  • Ensure company-provided vehicle is properly maintained.
  • Respond to after-hours emergencies when necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to remain calm during emergencies and respond appropriately.
  • Ability to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, respirators, earplugs, steel-toed shoes, or other protective equipment as required.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Must be able to move or traverse from one location on the job site to another, including remaining in a stationary position for extended periods, stooping, kneeling, squatting, and occasionally ascending/descending ladders or uneven terrain.
  • Ability to detect, perceive, and assess driving operations effectively (with or without corrective lenses).
  • Ability to operate a 4X4 vehicle.
  • Must be able to repetitively move or position feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, and back.
  • Constantly operates, uses, and positions hands and fingers in performance of work.
  • Must be able to work atop elevated surfaces and traverse various heights.
  • Lifts or carries 116 lbs. or more (classified as "heavy" work, over 50 pounds).
  • Frequently pushes and pulls with a maximum force of 150 ft./lbs.
  • Constantly works in outdoor weather conditions and is exposed to varying environmental conditions, including well site conditions.

Driver Requirements

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Position involves operating a company vehicle for work-related travel or receiving a stipend for operating a personal vehicle for company use; adherence to all traffic laws and company vehicle policies is required.
  • Candidates must be eligible to be insured under the company’s vehicle insurance policy.
