About the role

Performs oil and gas services including tank battery construction, facility hook-ups, flow line hook-up and repair, pipeline building, pipeline leak repair, pumping unit assembly, backhoe services, tank and truck maintenance, and general labor duties. Additional responsibilities include miscellaneous dirt work, equipment work, and routine maintenance on production equipment at new and existing facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the construction of tank batteries, facilities, and tank containment for production facilities.
• Build and maintain pipelines, perform pipeline leak repairs, and maintain pumping unit assembly.
• Assist in flow line installation, removal, and repairs.
• Respond to call-out requests for maintenance, relief, and emergency situations.
• Perform routine maintenance on production equipment.
• Follow all applicable company, state, and federal safety and environmental rules.
• Adhere to company and OSHA safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as steel-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, and vest.
• Maintain regular, timely, and predictable attendance.

Skills

• Basic knowledge of operating and maintaining equipment and hand tools used in the oil and gas production industry, including backhoes, pneumatic and electrical tools (e.g., concrete vibrators, compactors, concrete saws, cut-off saws, jackhammers, hand-operated trenchers).
• Basic knowledge of construction tools and practices.
• Ability to read and understand maintenance/operations manuals.
• Strong mechanical skills.
• Strong planning, organizational, delegation, and time management skills to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills to develop feasible solutions and recommend preventive actions.
• Ability to follow and exchange basic instructions and information in accordance with safety requirements.
• Effective communication with no language barriers between employees and supervisors.

Requirements

• Current Texas driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record (preferred).

Physical Requirements

• Stand for long periods of time.
• Lift 40–60 lbs. with or without assistance.
• Quickly move hands, hands with arms, or both to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
• Coordinate two or more limbs (e.g., arms, legs) while sitting, standing, or lying down.
• Perform physical activities requiring considerable use of arms and legs, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
• Hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information through verbal communication.
• Possess average visual acuity to prepare or inspect documents and operate machinery/handheld equipment.
• Walk moderate distances on slippery, uneven, or rough surfaces.
• Stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, turn, or crawl.
• Climb and balance on stairs, beams, ladders, or other elevated structures.

Working Conditions

• Work primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme cold, heat, and noise.
• Exposure to dust, fumes, chemicals, harsh solvents, or disinfectants.
• Potential exposure to electrical components, power lines, or other electrical hazards.
• Work with rebar, blades, or other sharp objects/tools.
• Work at high elevations, in trenches, or crawl spaces.
• Local travel between jobsites during the workday; occasional out-of-area travel with rare overnight stays.
• Irregular work hours, including nights and weekends.
