Learning Mentor

About the role

We are seeking compassionate Learning Mentors to support pupils with autism and complex SEND needs. You will help students access learning, build confidence, and develop independence within a structured, nurturing environment.

• Deliver personalised support to pupils
• Prepare resources and assist with activities
• Work collaboratively with teachers and multidisciplinary teams to implement a therapeutic, pupil-centered approach
• Support communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and behaviour
• Encourage engagement and wellbeing
• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and provide feedback to staff

Requirements

• GCSE English and Maths or equivalent
• Experience supporting autistic pupils or within a SEND setting (highly desirable)
• Genuine passion for supporting young people
• Resilience, empathy, and a proactive attitude
• Commitment to high professional standards and continuous improvement
