About the role

The Learning Depot Child Care Center is looking for dynamic and passionate Teachers/Teacher Assistants who want to make a difference and impact the lives of the children in our centers.

Responsibilities

• Use a variety of different educational techniques (for example storytelling, playing games, media presentations etc.) to teach children.
• Look after each child and help them build social competencies and self-esteem.
• Inspire children to communicate with each other in a friendly manner.
• Organize and conduct naptime.
• Maintain an open line of communication with parents and provide appropriate information.
• Evaluates students' academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records and prepares progress reports.
• Nurtures cooperation and sharing among children.
• Oversees children in order to ensure their safety.
• Collaborates with other teachers and administration staff.
• Adheres to all relevant health and safety standards.
• Prepares and organizes mealtimes and snacks for children.
• Must be knowledgeable of children ages 6 weeks to 6 years.
• Must be creative, warm, patient, and passionate about your work.
• Adheres to center's job description.
• Performs light housekeeping duties.
• Candidate must be able to pass all required state and criminal background checks and a physical.

Qualifications

• All experience levels welcome
• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
• At least 1 year experience working in a preschool environment.
• Substitute Certification (Preferred)
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
• NJ Department of Education Standard P-3 Certificate, CE or CEAS

Pay

From $16.00 per hour (Based on experience!!!)

Schedule

All shifts available for Non – Abbott.
Abbott – 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
Monday to Friday
