Responsibilities
- Identify gaps related to performance, competence, and skills.
- Develop training plans for employees and administrative staff to meet required competencies.
- Generate company-specific training programs in conjunction with operations and staff areas to close competency gaps.
- Conduct Train the Trainers Development Program.
- Coordinate the onboarding process.
- Ensure on-the-job training with qualified trainers.
- Apply Employee Qualification/Certification Program, including knowledge and skills evaluation supported by on-the-job and collaborative training.
- Implement and follow up on Training KPIs.
- Evaluate training effectiveness using individual or group performance results.
- Manage the training budget.
- Maintain updated training records and skills matrix.
- Coordinate and maintain the LMS (Learning Management System), training programs, and materials.
- Support training and development requirements for third-party and customer standards such as ISO 9000, ISO-TS16949, ISO14001, ISO 28000, and ISO 35000.
- Coordinate the development of training materials using Corporate guidelines.
- Apply effective learning methodologies to contribute to planning requirements.
- Submit WEDNet grant requests annually.
- Supervise hourly Training Coordinator and Fork Truck Driver Trainer.
- Occasional travel to other plants (1-2 times per year).
- Availability to meet face-to-face with off-shift teams regularly.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Engineering, or a related field is required.
- 3-5 years of experience in the automotive industry is desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Previous experience with Degreed, Udemy, or other LMS systems is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects and report progress to management.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
