Learn to Skate Coach | Part-Time | Cable Dahmer Arena

Responsibilities

• Promote and represent the facility positively at all times.
• Provide instruction in accordance with Learn to Skate USA guidelines.
• Affix ice for learn-to-skate classes as necessary.
• Consistently arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
• Encourage students to practice skills learned outside of class.
• Recruit and promote the program and specialty classes to potential new skaters.
• Have a welcoming and encouraging attitude with skaters and parents.
• Work with other coaches and coordinators to improve classes and programs.
• Accurately and thoroughly evaluate students and complete report cards and certificates at the end of each session.
• Attend coaches' meetings and/or trainings.
• Enforce on- and off-ice rules.

Qualifications

• Maintain Learn to Skate or USFS Coaching Compliance standards.
• Maintain Safe Sport Compliance.
• Knowledge of USA Figure Skating By-Laws and Policies.
• Ability to respond appropriately to customer service issues.
• Minimum of 1 year of on-ice coaching and instructing experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of recreation or facility management experience.
• Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
