Lean Specialist
About the role
The Lean Manufacturing Engineer at Parker Aerospace will develop and deploy tools, methods, and processes that make up the Parker Lean System (PLS). They will lead and facilitate lean kaizen events to drive business performance improvement, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. This role requires coordinating and allocating daily continuous improvement activities to meet company objectives, collecting and analyzing product data and manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement, recommending solutions to complex problems, and implementing corrective actions.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates and allocates the daily continuous improvement activities to meet company objectives
- Captures, analyzes, and reports product data and manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement
- Utilizes the team's knowledge to drive improvements and best practices
- Recommends solutions to complex problems and implements corrective actions
- Manages training and skills enhancement for all employees with respect to continuous improvement tools and techniques
- Provides technical expertise and implements lean principles, techniques, and methods
Requirements
- Education requirement: Bachelor’s degree (Industrial Engineering preferred)
- Experience: 3-5 years or more of relevant experience

- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers
- Intermediate level knowledge of PC software applications and strong understanding of PC operating systems
- Knowledge of ERP Systems (i.e., SAP)
- Expert technical knowledge of software applications, processes, products, and hardware architecture
- Knowledge of Windows Server components including the registry, file systems, services, and system management tools
