Lean Coordinator

About the role

In this role, you will partner with our business unit to carry out lean manufacturing and business process initiatives, collaborating with colleagues to identify improvement opportunities and implement lean solutions.

Responsibilities

• Support the promotion of lean culture in the organization by working with business areas to complete events and projects required to implement Future State Plans.
• Apply Lean principles and tools to implement solutions for system and process improvements, such as: Standard work, Ergonomics, cell design-3P, TPM, SMED, Kanban, Value Stream Mapping, and 5S.
• Prioritize improvement opportunities based on growth, safety, quality, delivery, cost, and cash.
• Support Lean Kaizen Events, including scheduling, organizing materials, meeting room set-up, and recording action items.
• Conduct process reviews and aid in the creation and/or revision of standardized work procedures.
• Support open communications and involvement of employees in the process.
• Provide periodic event progress updates.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma is required.
• 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing environment (operator, team lead, or similar hands-on role).
• Exposure to Lean or continuous improvement concepts (5S, Kaizen, standard work, or daily improvement).
• Ability to observe processes, identify issues, and contribute to the application of practical solutions.
• Strong collaboration skills and comfort working closely with production teams on the floor.
• Willingness to learn Lean tools and apply them with guidance from CI leadership.
• Basic computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint), including prior use of Excel, with a willingness to learn more advanced functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• A proactive approach and interest in transitioning from production into a continuous improvement role.

Pay

Compensation Range: $20.40 - $37.80 Per Hour. Depending on the position offered, the employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
