About the role
Cable Pipe and Leak Detection is a 47-year-old company dedicated to professionalism and excellent customer service. We are currently hiring an Underground Leak Technician.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections to locate underground slab leaks, external water leaks, gas leaks, and utility locating.
- Investigate and locate water or gas leaks.
- Locate and inspect sanitary sewer lines using push cameras and a sonde.
- Use laptop, tablet, smartphone, or other devices and field management software to receive, document, and close out assignments.
- Maintain a professional appearance while safely operating company vehicles.
- Be available for work in all weather conditions, during normal and after hours as required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid State driver's license with an acceptable MVR record.
- Pass a pre-employment background check.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and equipment (e.g., shovels, screwdrivers, wrenches, and similar).
- Experience in plumbing, home inspections, or construction.
- Comfort with sewer cameras and ability to navigate crawl/attic spaces.
- Knowledge of OSHA, state, and city/municipality safety requirements (preferred).
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus but not required.
Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Pass a background check.
- Experience in plumbing, home inspections, or construction.

Schedule
The schedule includes weekdays during training, potentially shifting to include a weekend day post-training. Participation in after-hours on-call service rotation is required.
