Leak Detection Technician Monaca, PA

Responsibilities

• Ensure that Health & Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies always, & processes & acting in a safe manner
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting, pulling & pushing heavy objects.
• Field Inspections: Perform routine, scheduled inspections of components (valves, connectors, pumps, tanks) to detect leaks of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
• Maintaining Equipment: Operate, calibrate, and maintain analyzers (e.g., Flame Ionization Detectors - FID).
• Data Management & Reporting: Record inspection data, tag leaking components, and manage inventory within databases like LeakDAS, GuideWare, SkyBridge
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to environmental regulations (e.g., 40 CFR Subpart 60) and strict site safety protocols.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with maintenance teams to report leaks and verify repairs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license & clean driving record
• TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Card) - required or must obtain within 30 days of hire
• Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) waste codes, manifesting & Land Disposal Restrictions (LDR) (preferred)
• Confined space entry & 40 Hour OSHA Training (preferred)
• Knowledge of RCRA requirements/regulations (preferred)
• Strong mechanical ability
• Ability to wear 15 lb. backpack
• Physical Stamina: Ability to walk long distances, stand for extended periods, climb ladders/scaffolding (sometimes up to 300 ft), and lift up to 50 lbs.
