About the role
LEADS, Inc., a community action agency in Licking County, offers a variety of full-time positions across its different programs.
Responsibilities
- Weatherization Technician: Perform home repairs and weatherization tasks as outlined in work orders.
- Food Service Aide: Assemble and deliver healthy meals, lift and load food carriers, and maintain daily repetitive motions.
- Home Educator: Provide in-home instruction and group socialization experiences, maintaining ongoing contact with families.
- Center Administrator/Part Time Teacher: Manage daily program operations, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards.
- Teacher: Create a safe and supervised educational environment, promote child development, and maintain accurate records.
- Assistant Teacher: Assist the classroom teacher in providing a safe and supervised educational setting, promoting child development, and maintaining accurate records.
Requirements
- Weatherization Technician: High school diploma or equivalent, experience in construction trade, home weatherization, or related field.
- Food Service Aide: High school diploma or equivalent, basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen sanitation.
- Home Educator: Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, experience in classroom management.
- Center Administrator/Part Time Teacher: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, supervisory experience.
- Teacher: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, preference for Pre-K certification or license, 2 years' experience in Early Childhood Education.
- Assistant Teacher: High school diploma or equivalent, experience in classroom management.
Qualifications
- Weatherization Technician: Must be able to climb ladders, work in tight quarters, and work in all types of weather.
- Food Service Aide: Must be able to lift and load food carriers, stand for most of an 8.5-hour day, and maintain daily repetitive motion.
- Home Educator: Must have experience in classroom management and understand developmentally appropriate practices.
- Center Administrator/Part Time Teacher: Must have a Bachelor's degree, experience in classroom management, and be computer literate.
- Teacher: Must have a Bachelor's degree, experience in classroom management, and be computer literate.
- Assistant Teacher: Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, experience in classroom management.
Skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift 45 pounds as needed.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Valid Ohio Driver's License and clean driving record.
- Background check, including BCI and FBI Criminal Records, Federal and State Sex Offender registries, and the Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System.

Pay
- Weatherization Technician: $16.88 - $17.93 per hour.
- Food Service Aide: $15.14 per hour.
- Home Educator: $18.40 - $24.95 per hour.
- Center Administrator/Part Time Teacher: $25.69 - $28.91 per hour.
- Teacher: $23.91 - $26.91 per hour.
- Assistant Teacher: $25.36 - $28.55 per hour.
Schedule
- Weatherization Technician: 4-day work week (Monday–Thursday), 34 hours per week.
- Food Service Aide: Full-time, 34 hours per week.
- Home Educator: Full-time, 34 hours per week.
- Center Administrator/Part Time Teacher: Full-time, 34 hours per week.
- Teacher: Full-time, 34 hours per week.
- Assistant Teacher: Full-time, 34 hours per week.
