About the role

As a Leadership Development Business Partner, you will build Vista's leadership capability by developing a genuinely strong understanding of the business and its leadership population. You will diagnose where performance challenges stem from leadership or management capability gaps and partner with HRBPs and senior stakeholders to design, deliver, or scale the right response.

Vista is the world’s leading global business aviation company, providing worldwide business flight services through its network of subsidiaries and a team of over 4,000 experts. Headquartered in Dubai, Vista integrates a unique portfolio of companies to offer asset-free services covering all key aspects of business aviation, including guaranteed and on-demand global flight coverage, subscription and membership solutions, and trading and management services.

A career at Vista means stepping into an environment where you’re trusted with real autonomy and responsibility from day one. You’ll move fast, deliver impact quickly, and grow through hands-on learning and close collaboration within a supportive global community.

Responsibilities

  • Business & Population Insight
    • Build and maintain a strong understanding of the business, its commercial priorities, operational pressures, and the leadership population within each function.
    • Develop a proactive leadership network across the business to identify emerging capability gaps and development needs early.
    • Diagnose whether performance issues stem from leadership or management capability gaps, as distinct from resourcing, process, systems, or individual performance issues.
  • Partnering & Solution Delivery
    • Partner with HRBPs to address identified leadership or management capability gaps, ensuring interventions are contextually appropriate.
    • Design, deliver, and scale practical solutions such as job aids, frameworks, coaching, or targeted interventions rather than formal training programs.
    • Deliver tangible outputs (e.g., tools, frameworks, or coaching relationships) that stakeholders can immediately use.
    • Build AI capability within Vista's leadership population, equipping managers to use AI tools effectively and lead teams through AI-driven change.
    • Own the delivery of flagship leadership development programs when business conditions and investment allow, managing vendor relationships and standards.
  • Framework, Insight & Succession
    • Develop a global leadership framework outlining what good leadership and management look like at Vista for ExCo endorsement.
    • Design and implement Vista’s management and leadership assessment approach, replacing self-rated annual reviews with evidence-based methods tied to the framework.
    • Ensure the leadership framework reflects modern capabilities, including change leadership, commercial acumen, and AI, alongside traditional interpersonal skills.
    • Use skills mapping to assess leadership capability and build development pipelines to address critical gaps.
    • Socialize the framework and insights with HR leadership and senior stakeholders to inform talent, succession, and development decisions.
    • Coordinate and govern development for high-potential successors, including job rotations, stretch projects, coaching, and vendor management.
    • Extend governance and tracking to leaders progressing into broader leadership roles beyond critical positions.
  • Data & Digital Delivery
    • Build hands-on digital learning content (e.g., job aids, eLearning) using tools like Synthesia, Articulate Storyline, or Rise, and deploy within Vista’s LMS (Thrive LXP/Accelerate).
    • Review and interpret people and performance data to identify capability gaps and talent signals.
    • Create data-driven dashboards and reports to present actionable insights to leaders.

Requirements

  • Personal experience building, managing, and leading teams, ideally including multi-layer team structures.
  • Experience owning or managing a budget or commercial outcome to credibly engage with leaders on commercial responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience coaching senior leaders one-to-one.
  • Hands-on experience building digital learning content (e.g., job aids, eLearning) using tools like Synthesia, Articulate Storyline, or Rise.
  • Comfortable interpreting people and performance data and building reporting or dashboards.
  • Ability to operate across multiple cultures, geographies, and time zones in a global, 24/7 environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in aviation or another highly regulated, commercially intensive industry.
  • Experience building leadership or capability frameworks from scratch.
