Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on technical leadership, driving strategic decisions, roadmaps, and architectural developments for mixed-signal designs across global teams
  • Partner with IC designers and system engineers to develop high-performance analog and mixed-signal circuits for next-generation products
  • Translate product specifications into block-level design requirements and drive technical excellence in Implementation
  • Build, mentor, and develop a world-class team of analog, mixed-signal, and RF IC designers
  • Recruit top talent and cultivate a high-performance, innovative culture
  • Drive performance management, career development, and succession planning
  • Enhance organizational capability through coaching and skills development
  • Partner with system engineering, digital design, CAD, and technology teams to optimize design flows and methodologies
  • Collaborate with support teams to enhance productivity across the organization
  • Interface with customers throughout product development and release-to-production phases
  • Represent the design organization in executive-level technical and business discussions
  • Oversee IC tape-out and productization from concept through production release
  • Ensure design quality, manufacturability, and time-to-market objectives
  • Champion continuous improvement in design processes and methodology

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in analog/mixed-signal or RF design with proven IC tape-out and productization track record
  • Deep knowledge of analog, mixed-signal, and RF IC design principles
  • Hands-on experience with advanced CMOS process nodes
  • Demonstrated success managing and developing engineering teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication with proven customer-facing abilities
  • Strong executive presentation skills
  • Track record managing strategic initiatives and cross-functional programs
  • Passionate about building and leading high-performance teams
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Collaborative mindset with ability to influence across organizational boundaries
  • Results-oriented with focus on execution and delivery

Compensation & Benefits

  • MaxLinear has a Total Compensation philosophy which includes base salary and annual discretionary bonus eligibility and many positions also include stock-based compensation.
  • MaxLinear's good faith estimate starting base salary range is: $ 177,000 to $ 259,000 Annually
  • We offer competitive benefits designed to support employee health, welfare, and retirement and some highlights are: health care benefits, 401k savings plan, Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), and paid time off.
  • The actual starting base salary will be determined by the match to certain role-related criteria such as educational degree(s) or equivalent, relevant work experience, skillset needed for the role, and geographic location; this is not an all-inclusive list as some roles may require unique skills or experience.
