Lead Worker (Structural Welder) (Night Shift) (R/O)

About the Role

Supervises the activities of a group of hourly welders on the night shift.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes knowledge of the working characteristics of metallic and non-metallic materials, including the specifications of the equipment to be used in the welding process.
• Performs tank testing and associated duties as required.

Requirements

• At least five (5) years of assembly/prefab structural welder experience.
• Prior supervision experience is preferred.

Skills

• Basic knowledge of welding-specific processes and techniques.
• Familiarity with standard marine practices and general specifications for construction.
• Experience in structural fabrication and the ability to read/understand drawings.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others.
• Ability to plan and schedule craft-specific work tasks.
• Strong focus on quality, production, safety, and environmental aspects of work.
