Lead Worker - Food

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the activities of workers and/or service employees under the leadership of on-site management and/or supervisors.
• Supervise day-to-day activities of subordinates and assign responsibility for specific work or functional activities as directed by management.
• Maintain key control of operations and ensure activities for opening, closing, and daily procedures are completed.
• Assist in monitoring employee productivity and provide suggestions for increased service or productivity.
• Work with customers to ensure satisfaction in areas such as quality, service, and problem resolution.
• Perform day-to-day assignments in addition to supervision duties.
• Responsible for orientation and training of employees, and take initiative in the development of the foodservice team.
• Attend all allergy and foodborne illness in-service training, regular safety meetings, safety training, and hazard assessments.
• Participate in designated training programs (classroom and virtual).
• Understand and follow all policies and procedures.
• Assist in ensuring a safe working environment throughout the facility for all employees.
• Comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures, and report all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
• Follow established City of Hope and department policies, procedures, objectives, performance improvement, attendance, safety, environmental, and infection control guidelines, including adherence to the workplace Code of Conduct and Compliance Plan.
• Practice a high level of integrity and honesty in maintaining confidentiality.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 1 or more years of related work experience.

This position is represented by a collective bargaining agreement.
