Lead Warehouse Associate

Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
- Load materials into vehicles and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
- Generate manifest paperwork and cross check loads for accuracy
- Learn to safely operate all the necessary equipment in work area. Operate industrial truck or electric pallet jack to assist in loading or moving materials and products
- Assist in training and development of associates. Monitor attendance, hours worked and job performance.
- Participates in and follows all OneSource policies, guidelines, safety protocols and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned.
Requirements
- High school or equivalent diploma
- One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent education and experience
- Knowledge of safety practices, and wears PPE as assigned
- Skill in lifting heavy packages and objects
- Strong work ethic to work independently and cooperatively as a team player
- Knowledge of Cal OSHA
- Experience in warehouse operations, preferably with electrical components
- Familiarity with warehouse routing systems and inventory software
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and operate warehouse equipment (forklift certification is a plus)
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams and Outlook
- Experience in chaining and strapping preferred.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels
- Requires standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods
- Lift and/or move 25 lbs and may be required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
- Use of PPE as required
- Mix of warehouse and office work environments
- Requires punctual and reliable on-site attendance
Location and Schedule
This role is based in San Diego, CA. Work hours: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay
This is a non-exempt position and pays between $22.00 – $27.00 per hour. This salary range reflects figures based on the primary location within California. The actual range of the role may differ based on the location of the role.
