Lead Warehouse Associate

Key Responsibilities

• Aid in meeting target times for loading and unloading to support operational goals.
• Train and mentor new warehouse operatives within designated areas of responsibility.
• Verify stock movements and ensure accurate inventory recording.
• Support inventory cycle counts and identify discrepancies as needed.
• Operate yard truck and maintain it through daily inspections and cleanliness; promptly report issues to management.
• Monitor supply levels and report any replenishment needs to management.
• Identify potential improvements in processes, systems, and efficiency; recommend solutions to leadership.
• Promote and ensure adherence to all safety procedures; immediately report any incidents or hazards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
• Ensure all team members comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Previous warehouse or logistics experience is required; prior leadership or lead experience is preferred.
• Ability to operate yard trucks and other warehouse equipment safely and effectively is essential.
• A strong understanding of warehouse safety standards and handling procedures is necessary.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills are required.
• A detail-oriented approach with strong organizational and time management abilities are key.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lead by example is important.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.

Work Environment Conditions

• The role involves working in a warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels, requiring physical stamina.

Work Schedule

• Days: Monday through Friday
• Hrs: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
