Lead Wallpaper Hanger

About the Role

Proficiently prepare wall surfaces for the installation of wallpaper, install wallpaper, and perform wallpaper repairs on various interior surfaces of a building with different types of commercial wallpaper. Plan, coordinate, schedule, and assign wallpaper jobs while training and providing work direction to team members.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and organize work schedules for wallpaper crew(s) to meet deadlines and implement priority assignments for prompt completion.
• Review work in progress and use hand and power tools skillfully and safely.
• Secure all tools, materials, and equipment required for each assignment.
• Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with supervisors, coworkers, and customers.
• Maintain material, job, and personal records.
• Ensure proficiency with equipment related to wallpaper hanging and proper installation within industry standards.
• Perform proper wall surface preparations prior to wallpaper installation.
• Assist in center/agency surveys (Licensure/JCAHO) and required reports as needed.
• Attend continuing educational programs to maintain licensure/certification and mandatory in-services.
• Honor patients/residents’ rights to fair treatment, self-determination, privacy, and property.
• Comply with corporate compliance programs and report job-related occupational hazards.
• Follow established safety regulations, including fire protection, infection control, and equipment safety.
• Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, team members, and visitors.
• Perform other related duties as directed by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Experience in hand trimming fabric wallpaper, painting, and sheetrock work/finishing.
• Proficiency with tools and equipment used for wallpaper installation.
• Ability to maintain timely, regular attendance and professional appearance.
• Strong communication skills and an approachable attitude.

Physical Demands

• Occasionally lift and carry up to 40+ lbs.
• Occasionally reach above, at, or below shoulder height.
• Occasionally push/pull, twist, bend, crawl, squat, kneel, crouch, climb, and balance.
• Work surfaces may vary based on equipment used for wallpaper hanging.
• During an 8-hour day: Sit for 1 hour, stand for 6 hours, walk for 1 hour.

Cognitive and Sensory Requirements

• Talking: Necessary for communicating with others.
• Hearing: Necessary for taking instructions.
• Sight: Necessary for performing job effectively and correctly.

Travel

Travel expectation: 80%.
