About the Opportunity

At True, Inc., we partner with purpose-driven leaders to secure critical funding, build long-term sustainability, and expand impact in communities that need it most. Our work is rooted in a deep commitment to service, and powered by people who care about doing the right thing, the right way. We are looking for a Lead Video Editor to take ownership of producing polished, on-brand video content for TRUE companies from their prerecordings. This is the core of the role: leading the editing process end-to-end to ensure every piece of video content meets a consistent, high-quality standard across all TRUE brands. In addition to this primary responsibility, the role includes project-based work with TRUE Academy, supporting video editing efforts — helping translate subject-matter expertise into finished courses. These projects involve close collaboration with the TRUE Academy General Manager and trainers to bring each course to life. Funding Vision. Fueling Impact. Empowering Leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Edit raw or prerecorded footage into polished, final video content (cutting, sequencing, pacing)
  • Ensure color correction, audio mixing, and sound design meet quality standards
  • Add graphics, titles, lower-thirds, transitions, and motion graphics as needed
  • Maintain consistent branding — logos, fonts, color palettes, intro/outro templates — across all deliverables
  • Manage multiple video formats/exports for different platforms (web, social, internal training, etc.)
  • Manage project timelines and prioritizing the editing queue across multiple requests
  • Translate feedback into revisions efficiently
  • Communicate timelines and bottlenecks proactively

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required, bachelor's degree preferred. Preferred fields of study include education, communication, video production or video editing.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience required

Skills

  • Video Editing Mastery & Technical Proficiency
  • Brand Consistency & Visual Storytelling
  • Leadership & Quality Control
  • Instructional Clarity & Learning Design Thinking
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication

Working Conditions

  • Partially an office-based role requiring prolonged sitting, focused computer work (4–6 hours at a time), extended discussions (1–2 hours), and sustained concentration on detailed information.
  • Ability to reach in all directions
  • Ability to see a full range of colors
  • Ability to focus on computer screens for up to 5 hours at a time
  • Domestic travel required
  • Carry loads of up to 40 lbs

Compensation

This will be an hourly non-exempt position. The hourly range is $42-49 per hour. The total potential rewards are $62 - 70 per hour, including paid health, life and disability benefits and a retirement savings plan.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage
  • Voluntary benefits that provide additional flexibility and support
  • Generous Paid Time Off (PTO), encouraging rest, renewal, and sustainability
  • Paid sick time
  • Company-paid holidays
  • Paid parental leave
  • 401(k) with company contribution
  • Remote work flexibility
  • Technology stipend and/or equipment provided

TRUE Core Values

  • Truth — TRUE was founded on the principle that we speak the truth in all situations, no matter what. We won't bend the truth even in the midst of outside pressure for more money or influence. Integrity and ethics guide our work and decision-making, ensuring every action reflects who we are. The Truth is the solid ground we stand on.
  • Justice — In every area of TRUE, we help those who are disadvantaged, including supporting clients who serve the underprivileged. This is why we don't operate as merely consultants, but rather we partner, because the communities being served matter to us as much as they do to our clients. We see generosity and service to others as part of Justice, as we aim to help equip those who are disadvantaged.
  • Respectful Relationships — At TRUE, we treat each other the way we would want to be treated. We care about what others are working on, and support them in every way we can. We come alongside our clients as a part of their team, building trust with extra care and respect for their work.
  • Excellence — As we pay careful attention to develop tomorrow's wealth, it means everyone has a future. Therefore, we demonstrate high professional standards in our work, even if the client has a different style. We are progressing from a high-growth organization to a diligent, process-oriented team. Our close relationships facilitate development and accountability towards excellence.
