About the role
The Lead Transporter assists in the supervision of Central Transport Service personnel. This position will ensure that all transportation duties and responsibilities are carried out in a prompt and courteous manner. This position will strive to maximize patient, family, physician and staff satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Aid in managing all transport service employees regarding employment, performance rating, vacation, scheduling and termination
- Assist in supervising accurate on-going collaborative planning for the Tele-Tracking System
- Aids the Transport Supervisor in retrieving reports, preparing monthly statistics
- Participates in identifying issues, resolving problems, providing independent follow-up, investigating incidents
- Transports patients throughout hospital as needed
Requirements
- High school graduate
- CPR certification
- Six (6) months demonstrated leadership experience
- Proficiency in computer skills required
Qualifications
- Ability to be scheduled for work based on operational needs of the hospital
- Possesses the ability to deal tactfully and harmoniously with guests
- Must have strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Must have strong problem solving skills and independent judgment
