Lead Transporter - New Job Profile

About the role

The Lead Transporter assists in the supervision of Central Transport Service personnel. This position will ensure that all transportation duties and responsibilities are carried out in a prompt and courteous manner. This position will strive to maximize patient, family, physician and staff satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Aid in managing all transport service employees regarding employment, performance rating, vacation, scheduling and termination
• Assist in supervising accurate on-going collaborative planning for the Tele-Tracking System
• Aids the Transport Supervisor in retrieving reports, preparing monthly statistics
• Participates in identifying issues, resolving problems, providing independent follow-up, investigating incidents
• Transports patients throughout hospital as needed

Requirements

• High school graduate
• CPR certification
• Six (6) months demonstrated leadership experience
• Proficiency in computer skills required

Qualifications

• Ability to be scheduled for work based on operational needs of the hospital
• Possesses the ability to deal tactfully and harmoniously with guests
• Must have strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Must have strong problem solving skills and independent judgment
