About the role

As a CBRE Lead Transition Manager, you will lead a team of Transition Managers while maintaining hands-on project delivery accountability for complex, multi-disciplined real estate project solutions for clients. This role is part of the Project Management function, responsible for both project execution and team coordination, mentorship, and performance oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day guidance and oversight to a team of Transition Managers to achieve project and program goals.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for project issues, removing blockers before senior leadership involvement.
  • Monitor team workload, resource allocation, and utilization to ensure balanced distribution and timely delivery across the portfolio.
  • Conduct regular one-on-ones, provide coaching and feedback, and support professional development of team members.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate development opportunities.
  • Support staff recruitment, selection, onboarding, and performance management; provide recommendations for promotion, advancement, and corrective action.
  • Implement communication plans and facilitate project and team meetings to keep clients and stakeholders informed.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Manage all facets of project management (budget, schedule, procurement, quality & risk) for multiple real estate projects including planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.
  • Implement project documentation governance aligned with company and client requirements; ensure data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely, and coordinated.
  • Track project progress against goals, budgets, and timelines; report status and variances; create and execute action plans to meet objectives.
  • Identify project risks, lead constructability reviews, and develop and implement risk mitigation and contingency plans.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret complex business documents, write clear reports, and deliver persuasive presentations to clients and management.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles; ability to forecast, prepare budgets, and conduct financial/business analysis.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex situations and exercise judgment based on multiple sources of information.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and MS Project.
  • Capability to read, understand, and apply standard to complex documents affecting real estate projects, including agreements/contracts, leases, work letters, project charters, surveys, and drawings.
  • Strong organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset and willingness to challenge existing solutions.
  • Ability to make decisions with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve project and team results.
  • Ability to set team priorities and project deadlines.
