About the role

The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) seeks a Full-Time Lead Traffic Management Specialist (Counseling) to join the Personal Property Section at the 75th Air Base Wing, Hill AFB, UT. This role involves advising military and civilian personnel on their entitlements for the shipment and storage of personal property.

Responsibilities

  • Provide information and advice to military and civilian personnel regarding their entitlements for shipment and storage of personal property.
  • Manage the Personal Property Section, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Evaluate and implement organizational strategies and performance metrics.
  • Lead teams in resolving complex issues and situations related to organizational issues.
  • Deploy lean concepts in problem resolution and interpret and apply complex regulations and policies.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Security clearance
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical
  • Knowledge of overall missions, functions, and organization of the agency or component
  • Knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to work with, lead, and manage various groups or individuals
  • Understanding and deployment of lean concepts in problem resolution
  • Skill in interpreting and applying complex DOD, USAF, AFMC, and AFSC regulations, methods, operating procedures, and policies

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing.
  • Knowledge of overall missions, functions, and organization of the agency or component.
  • Ability to apply the knowledge to evaluate current organizational strategies and performance.
  • Knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices as related to the requirements for performance-based logistics, acquisition, supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and other support areas.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with accuracy.
  • Ability to work with, lead, and manage various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations as related to organizational issues.
  • Ability to understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution.
  • Skill in interpreting and applying complex DOD, USAF, AFMC, and AFSC regulations, methods, operating procedures, and policies, as well as developing methods and operating procedures as required.
