About the role
Lead daily classroom routines for toddler-aged children, implement engaging activities using The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum, foster children's language, social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development, create a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment, guide and support assistant teachers to ensure classroom consistency, build strong partnerships with families through regular communication, observe and document children's developmental progress, maintain compliance with New York State and NYC licensing requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily classroom routines for toddler-aged children
- Implement engaging activities using The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
- Foster children's language, social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Create a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment
- Guide and support assistant teachers to ensure classroom consistency
- Build strong partnerships with families through regular communication
- Observe and document children's developmental progress
- Maintain compliance with New York State and NYC licensing requirements
Requirements
- Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
- CDA accepted
- Previous toddler classroom experience preferred
- Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practice
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
Qualifications
- Must meet all New York State and NYC childcare licensing requirements

$20–$23 per hour (based on education and experience)
