LEAD Toddler Teacher

About This Role

Shape young minds in Naugatuck, CT as a Lead Toddler Teacher. Guide children ages one to three in a safe, fun, and warm classroom. Build strong bonds with families and help kids grow every day.

What You'll Do

• Plan fun daily lessons for toddlers following CT ELDS
• Keep the classroom safe and clean
• Track each child's growth and learning
• Talk with parents about daily progress
• Help toddlers learn basic social skills

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a licensed childcare center
• High school diploma or GED, CDA Preferred
• Must be able to see and or hear a child in distress up to 25 feet away
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs repeatedly during the course of each day
• Must be able to sit on the floor with children and be able to get up quickly
• Friendly and professional demeanor with staff and families
• Good writing and communication skills

Nice To Haves

• CPR and First Aid certification
• Associate degree in child development
• Bilingual skills
• Extra training in special education
