Lead Test Engineer
About the role
The Information Technology group at DTCC delivers secure, reliable technology solutions that enable the firm to be the trusted infrastructure of the global capital markets. The team focuses on delivering high-quality information through activities such as development of essential applications and systems, building infrastructure capabilities to meet client needs, and implementing data standards and governance.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, maintain, and execute test cases based on user stories; present results and track defects to closure
- Maintain traceability from business requirements through test cases to automated scripts
- Review test cases / automation approach with stakeholders to ensure comprehensive coverage and acquire feedback
- Track test execution breakthroughs, report on issues and risks with the potential to affect project timelines
- Construct appropriate end-to-end business scenarios through the application of a broad understanding of business objectives and goals
- Collaborate with delivery pipeline teams to drive adoption and resolve open issues
- Identify dependencies for environmental and data requirements; manage and maintain environment and data
- Provide mentorship to colleagues related to test coverage and test cases
- Develop a detailed understanding of the product being delivered
- Align risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to supervise and mitigate risk; calls out appropriately
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
- Experience in Selenium Java with good hands-on experience
- Extensive experience with testing modern scripting language-based components
- Experience in writing sophisticated SQL queries
- Experience with JIRA, Microfocus ALM, Bitbucket, Git, and Jenkins
- Experience with Agile/Waterfall, onsite/offshore work model and coordination
- In-depth knowledge of the software implementation lifecycle (specifically the testing model, methodology, and processes)
- Experience with front-end & backend testing using Java and Selenium
- Experience with JIRA, Microfocus ALM, Bitbucket, Git, and Jenkins
- Detail understanding of smoke testing, black-box, and non-black box testing, as well as regression testing
- Requires the ability to work well with both business clients and technical team and the ability to work independently, both individually and as part of a team

Schedule
A flexible/hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote (onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays and a third day unique to each team or employee).
Pay
The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations. Actual salary is determined based on the role, location, individual experience, skills, and other considerations.
