About the role

Leverage your deep technical expertise and leadership to guide cutting-edge projects, fostering growth and innovation in a dynamic environment. As a Lead Technical Program Manager with JPMorganChase Infrastructure Foundational Services, you lead large, cross-functional technical programs across engineering, operations, security, architecture, and product to deliver resilient platform capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale infrastructure/platform programs, driving scope, timelines, and measurable outcomes across multiple teams.
  • Create integrated program plans across workstreams, milestones, critical path, and RAID, ensuring clear ownership and transparent delivery health.
  • Run governance forums (steering committees, working groups, executive updates) that accelerate decisions, reduce ambiguity, and maintain momentum.
  • Align engineering, operations, security, architecture, and product partners on solution trade-offs, sequencing, and delivery constraints.
  • Translate distributed-systems concepts (availability, resiliency, latency, scaling, dependencies) into practical execution strategies and risk-aware milestones.
  • Manage cross-team and vendor dependencies by establishing explicit interfaces, handoffs, and escalation paths with options-based recommendations.
  • Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support program management workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
  • Ability to review and validate AI-assisted plans, risks, and recommendations before use, escalating when uncertain and following data handling expectations.
  • Drive Agile-at-scale execution using Scrum/Kanban and hybrid delivery patterns (release trains, phased migrations, change windows) suited to infrastructure work.
  • Own delivery risk and control posture by integrating change management, operational risk practices, and incident learnings into program plans.
  • Improve program execution tooling and hygiene (dashboards, dependency tracking, automation) to increase cross-team visibility and reduce coordination overhead.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification on technical program management concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
  • Proven delivery experience in infrastructure/platform domains such as cloud foundations, Kubernetes/container platforms, network/compute/storage, CI/CD & developer platforms, IAM, observability, or SRE/production operations.
  • Ability to read and critique architecture diagrams, reason about failure modes, and drive pragmatic mitigation plans.
  • Experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support program management workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
  • Ability to review and validate AI-assisted plans, risks, and recommendations before use, escalating when uncertain and following data handling expectations.
  • Partnership with engineers and architects to evaluate trade-offs and guide decisions under real-world constraints.
  • Excellence in program execution, including building integrated plans with workstreams, milestones, critical path, and RAID management.
  • Experience running governance and facilitation rhythms (steerco, working groups) that drive decisions, remove blockers, and maintain accountability.
  • Strong risk-and-controls mindset, including operational risk awareness, change management discipline, and delivery in regulated/high-control environments.
  • Clear, concise stakeholder communication skills, including executive-level written and verbal updates and the ability to align conflicting priorities.

Skills

  • Familiarity with SRE practices such as SLOs/SLIs, error budgets, incident/problem management, on-call realities, and capacity planning.
  • Practical understanding of security-by-design, identity/access patterns, vulnerability remediation, platform hardening, and resiliency testing (DR/failover).
  • Experience driving cloud migrations or platform modernization, including IaC concepts (Terraform-like), configuration management, and automated provisioning.
  • Metrics-driven delivery approach using outcomes like availability, MTTR, change failure rate, deployment frequency, cost efficiency, and platform adoption.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Jira (and typically Confluence) to run end-to-end execution, including dashboards and cross-team visibility for blockers and dependencies.
  • Experience partnering with Jira administrators to optimize workflows, permissions, automations, templates, and “ways of working” standards across teams.
  • Experience applying AI-enabled automations for program execution (e.g., summarizing standups into updates, generating release notes, analyzing incident themes) with measurable time savings or quality gains.
