Lead, Technical Compliance

For our client, we are seeking a Lead, Technical Compliance to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will drive the technical evolution of compliance operations, with a strong focus on automation, data analysis, and risk-based decisioning. You will partner closely with compliance, technology, and business stakeholders to translate regulatory requirements into practical technical solutions that improve controls and reporting. The position will also help strengthen monitoring, screening, and customer risk processes while evaluating AI-enabled approaches that create measurable compliance value. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $140,000 – $200,000 annually Responsibilities Lead the design and implementation of AI-driven automation in compliance workflows Identify AI opportunities to improve compliance processes and controls Evaluate AI technologies for compliance suitability based on risk and business value Oversee development and optimization of the transaction monitoring system Support a customer risk scoring model reflecting a risk-based approach Enhance sanctions controls and maintain the sanctions screening tool Develop automated reporting solutions using Python or SQL Qualifications BA/BS degree or international equivalent 7+ years of experience in compliance technology and data analysis in financial services or consulting Advanced skills in Python and SQL are essential Familiarity with Databricks and Pyspark is a plus Experience developing AI-enabled automation solutions is required Ability to translate regulatory requirements into technical designs and acceptance criteria Strong collaboration skills across diverse teams Benefits Comprehensive health plans 401K with company matching Paid parental leave Flexible time off Discretionary annual bonus and equity grant Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
