Lead, Technical Accounting and Internal Controls

Location: Remote – US-based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $125,000 – $150,000 annually

About the role

This role will support financial strategy, forecasting, and performance management initiatives that strengthen business visibility and decision-making. You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation. The position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within a Technical Services environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as CSI's technical accounting subject matter expert
• Oversee technical accounting, financial reporting, and compliance initiatives
• Research, interpret, and implement complex accounting guidance under U.S. GAAP
• Lead assessments involving ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 340, ASC 350, and other technical accounting matters
• Prepare technical accounting memoranda for complex transactions
• Draft and review financial statement disclosures
• Monitor and enhance internal control frameworks and accounting risk controls

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Active CPA license
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience within a large national or global accounting firm
• Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting principles
• Strong experience with ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 340, and/or ASC 350
• Proven experience drafting technical accounting memos and position papers
