About This Role

Just for Kids Preschool and Child Care Center in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a qualified Lead Teachers to work with Mixed / All Ages in a center-based environment. This position requires no formal credential — just relevant experience.

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and activities that cater to the intellectual, physical, and social needs of children.
• Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that fosters creativity, exploration, and self-expression.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with parents/guardians, keeping them informed about their child's progress, behavior, and development.
• Assess and address the unique needs, strengths, and areas for improvement of each child, adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
• Promote positive behavior management techniques to encourage a respectful and inclusive classroom community.
• Maintain accurate records of students' attendance, meals, progress, and development, preparing reports as required.

Requirements

• Contact information for at least two professional references.
• First Aid and CPR certification (preferred), and the ability to pass a background search and Central Registry Search.
• Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
• A strong understanding of diverse learning styles and the ability to differentiate instruction accordingly.
• At least six months experience working with preschool-aged children in an educational setting (not required for aides).

Nice to Have

• Experience with lesson planning software or other educational technology.

Benefits

• This Lead Teachers role pays $15 to $15.50/Hr.
