Lead Teacher – The Goddard School of Flemington, NJ

The Goddard School of Flemington, NJ is seeking a dedicated Lead Teacher to guide our classrooms with care, creativity, and professionalism.

About the role

As a Lead Teacher, you will plan and implement age-appropriate lessons that promote learning through play and discovery, create a warm and safe classroom environment, and support children’s social, emotional, physical, and academic growth. You will also maintain open communication with parents, oversee Assistant Teachers and support staff, monitor developmental progress, and ensure compliance with NJ licensing, health, and safety standards.

Requirements

• CDA or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field) preferred
• At least 1–2 years of experience in a preschool or childcare setting
• Passion for working with infants, toddlers, or preschoolers
• Strong leadership and classroom management skills
• Positive, dependable, and collaborative team player
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (training available if not current)
