Lead Teacher, Mansfield Montessori at Walnut Creek

About the role

As a Lead Teacher, you will lead a Montessori classroom in an early education setting, guiding young learners to become innovative thinkers, good citizens, and able leaders. Our school provides an authentic Montessori experience with mixed-age classrooms and carefully curated Montessori materials, supported by trained and dedicated educators.

Responsibilities

• Follow all licensing guidelines, school, and company standards to ensure the daily care of every child.
• Develop your ability to accurately observe, assess, and plan for children, as well as effectively communicate with families.
• Complete ongoing professional development on Montessori pedagogy and early childhood development topics.
• Implement the Montessori curriculum (with assistance from the Director, School Education Manager, Team Lead, or faculty mentor) and facilitate engaging interactive learning experiences.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Experience in a licensed child care center, Montessori school, or related field; previous lead teacher experience preferred.
• Completed a high school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree and coursework in early childhood education preferred.
• Met state requirements for education; additional school requirements may apply.
