Lead Teacher (Infant Toddler)

About the role

Responsible for providing comprehensive care and education to infants and toddlers in an early head start setting.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum for infants and toddlers.
• Provide daily supervision and support to ensure safety and well-being of children.
• Collaborate with other staff members to develop and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Assess child development and progress towards milestones.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Valid state certification in Early Childhood Education.
• Experience working with infants and toddlers preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Strong commitment to early childhood education and social justice.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Pass a background check and criminal history review.

Skills

• Knowledge of child development theories and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
