About the role
The Lead Teacher for Reading Instruction will support, supplement, and extend classroom reading instruction, working collaboratively to implement a quality reading program that is research-based, data-driven, and meets the needs of students.
Responsibilities
- Support and supplement classroom reading instruction
- Work collaboratively to implement a quality reading program
- Assess the reading strengths and needs of students
- Develop, implement, and evaluate the literacy program
- Design instruction for individual students
- Collaborate with school administrators to ensure continuous improvement in reading assessment and instruction
- Guide the learning process toward closing achievement gaps in reading
- Analyze data and provide instructional plans of action to increase reading and comprehension levels
- Support teachers in developing their knowledge and skills to improve reading outcomes for students
- Participate in ongoing professional development
Qualifications
- Experienced Educator License with Special Education endorsement
- Bachelor's Degree (Master’s Preferred) from an approved program
- Experience delivering direct reading instruction
- Knowledge of a variety of reading assessments and instructional tools
Benefits
- $70,000- $80,000 annually, based upon experience and education
- Full-time, 40 hour/week role
- Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 3:30pm schedule
