About the role
A Lead Teacher is responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment, promoting the positive development of all children, and coordinating academic and non-academic activities.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment
- Promote the positive development of all children
- Plan, direct, and coordinate academic and non-academic activities
- Carry out learning objectives for all ages of children in their care/classroom
- Greet parents and children at drop off/pick up
- Ensure all daily tasks are completed correctly and in a timely manner, such as diapers/potty training, laundry, cleaning tables, chairs, diapering/toileting areas before and after each use, clean toys at naptime and/or end of each shift, and stock supplies for the next day
- Know and comply with state mandated child/staff ratios and other state, federal, and accreditation regulations/standards

- Dynamic teacher who loves working with children 6 weeks through 12 years of age
- Enjoys seeing children reach their full potential and thrive
- Works with a team that fosters a culture of continual Early Childhood growth and learning
- Education Required: None
- Experience Required: 1-2 Years Related Experience
- Skills: Excellent customer service skills, excellent time management, interpersonal, communication, organization, prioritizing, decision-making and planning skills, able to perform in highly stressful situations, including high volume times such as morning drop off times and during overlap (start of 2nd shift) drop off/afternoon pickup times, health screening required, successful annual clearance from Family Care Safety Registry, annual TB test required, at least 18 years of age, initial T-Dap immune licensure/certification/registration, required: must obtain Heartsaver Pediatric CPR/FA/AED certification within 30 days of hire
