Lead Teacher

Love working with children and ready to lead your own classroom? The Red Barn is hiring a dependable, nurturing Lead Teacher who can create a safe, engaging classroom, build strong relationships with families, and help children learn through play, routines, and meaningful experiences.

Responsibilities

• Able to lead daily routines, lesson plans, classroom organization, and positive behavior guidance

Requirements

• Must meet all Tennessee Department of Human Services child-care licensing requirements
• Must successfully complete required criminal background and fingerprint checks before beginning work with children
• Must complete all required DHS pre-service and ongoing annual training
• Must obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid certification within required timelines
• Must successfully complete Red Barn’s pre-employment drug screening
• Must meet all health and employment requirements applicable to the position

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous experience in a licensed child-care or preschool setting strongly preferred
• CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, Associate degree, or Bachelor’s degree preferred
