Lead Teacher

Main Job Responsibilities

• Lead with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
• Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children.
• Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.

Qualifications

• A CDA or at least 6 ECE college level credits.
• The ability to pass all background checks.
• A plus if you have previous experience working with infants!

Compensation

• $19- $22/hour, based on education and experience.

About the Role

Village Children's Academy is a licensed childcare center seeking Lead Teachers to support the following age groups: Toddler/2s.

Schedule

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, full-time, 8am-5pm.
