Lead Teacher

Gingerbread Littleversity is a licensed childcare center seeking Lead Teachers to support preschool-age groups.

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Ability to pass all background checks
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a completed associate’s or bachelor’s degree with at least 12 credits of early childhood education or their equivalent
• Previous childcare experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Prepare developmentally appropriate lesson plans one week in advance using current curriculum guides
• Implement lesson plans and curriculum weekly, covering all areas of child development and following the classroom schedule/daily routine
• Use our parent communication app efficiently
• Establish professional rapport with families to provide quality care
• Ensure the safety and well-being of each child, responding to emotional needs
• Maintain an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom
• Maintain child assessments and portfolios for each child
• Conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences in November and May
• Perform physical tasks required for working with small children, including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs
• Lift and carry up to 40 lbs
• Carry out daily classroom responsibilities related to child care

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm

Pay

$17 - $19 per hour, based on education and experience
