Lead Teacher

About the role

Building Blocks for Tots of Wilson is a licensed childcare center seeking Lead Teachers for Pre‑K and Toddler classrooms.

Responsibilities

• Willingness to effectively substitute for any position as needed, including covering staff breaks, filling in for absent staff, and assuming classroom duties before or after scheduled shifts.
• Demonstrate patience, kindness and positive interactions with all children, parents, and staff.
• Operate as a team player and willingness to help where needed under the direction of the lead teacher.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass all background checks.
• Associate degree in early childhood education or higher.
• Preference for Montessori certified applicants for the Preschool classroom.

Pay

$15.00–$19.00 per hour, based on education and experience.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 4:00 pm or 9:00 am – 6:00 pm.
