Lead Teacher

About the role

At Early Advantage, you will create a classroom environment full of learning opportunities and excitement. You will be the safe keeper and guide for each child's growth and learning moments, using the FrogStreet curriculum to teach across all developmental domains.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize the FrogStreet curriculum to teach throughout the day, covering all developmental domains.
  • Implement effective classroom management techniques to ensure the safety and well-being of all children.
  • Engage actively with children both inside and outside the classroom, monitoring their safety and needs.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, sharing ideas, strategies, and addressing concerns as needed.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment for both children and staff.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members, providing insights and support.
  • Respond consistently and effectively to the needs of the children in your care.
  • Engage as an intentional teacher, modeling appropriate expectations for co-workers.
  • Assist with cleaning duties and delegate tasks within your class.
  • Establish and enforce classroom rules in accordance with Early Advantage and licensing policies, serving as a role model and guide for expectations.
  • Create weekly lesson plans that incorporate social/emotional skills and educational domains.
  • Arrange the classroom environment appropriately and maintain all required classroom items and equipment.
  • Complete bi-annual assessments of children's development, reporting findings to parents through bi-annual reports and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Identify and address any emotional, developmental, or health-related concerns among children.
  • Accurately fill out and maintain daily rosters, daily reports, accident/incident forms, medication logs, and behavior documentation.

Requirements

Early Advantage seeks candidates who are passionate about early childhood education and possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience in early childhood education.
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with classroom management and child development.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $35,000 - $40,000 annually.

Schedule

This role requires a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate the needs of the children and families we serve.
