Summary
The Lead Childcare Teacher at Chroma Early Learning Academy is responsible for creating a structured and engaging learning environment for young children, while fostering their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth. This involves implementing curriculum, supervising staff, managing classroom operations, and maintaining open communication with families. Duties
- Partner with the Assistant Teacher to provide daily care and support to the children in the classroom.
- Establish and maintain a safe, clean, and engaging classroom environment that meets Georgia DECAL and Quality Rated standards.
- Collaborate with the teaching team to implement an age-appropriate curriculum that promotes sensory exploration, early communication, and gross motor development.
- Monitor and document developmental milestones, and maintain regular communication with families.
- Ensure adherence to all licensing and program guidelines related to health, safety, and sanitation.
- Actively participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training required for Quality Rated compliance.
Requirements
- Ability to meet all requirements under Georgia's Bright from the Start and Quality Rated guidelines.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Passion for early childhood education and the social-emotional well-being of young children.
- Reliable, team-oriented, and committed to continuous learning.
- Ability to Pass a Background Check.
- Ability to meet all licensing and program guidelines related to health, safety, and sanitation.
- CDA, TCC, or Paraprofessional certificate Required.
- High school diploma or GED Required.
