Lead Teachers-Preschool/Toddler

The Lead Teacher position oversees and assures the appropriate operations of the assigned classroom, leading and coaching Assistant teacher(s) to support curriculum development, classroom community/management and building partnerships with families.
What You'll Do
- Treat each child, co-worker, and family with dignity and respect.
- Develop strong relationships with children, families, and team members.
- Partner with families to achieve common goals for each child.
- Support children's learning across the domains using developmentally appropriate practice.
- Collaborate with the team to plan and implement individualized instruction.
- Use positive guidance and techniques to support children's social-emotional growth.
- Familiarity with and utilization of the CT ELDS text and DOTS/T.S. Gold Assessment tools.
- Enter observations and identify levels/age bands into the system.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
- Provide appropriate adult supervision and maintain child-to-adult ratios at all times.
- Promote good hygiene and sanitation practices.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, NAEYC criteria, and WLCDC policies and procedures.
- Enforce all safety policies and procedures, including emergency procedures.
- Attend required staff meetings, family meetings, and in-services.
- Promote WLCDC policies and procedures, as well as the NAEYC code of ethics.
- Attend additional workshops, trainings, and continuing education courses as required.
- Supervise Assistant teacher(s), teacher aids, and substitutes in the classroom.
- Aid in training and supporting substitutes, assistants, floaters, volunteers, or others assigned to the classroom.
- Engage in ongoing reflection and feedback to improve performance.
- Develop an annual professional development plan with supervisor.
- Ensure continuity of care by maintaining consistent attendance.
- Interact with all staff as a team member to ensure optimum program quality.
Requirements
- Familiarity with CTELDS and DOTS.
- 2+ years of classroom teaching experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in ECE.

Women's League is currently looking for 3 Lead Teachers and 5 Assistant Teachers.

- Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in ECE, 2 +years classroom teaching experience. Familiarity with CTELDS and DOTS. Salary is commensurate with educational level and classroom experience in leading a teaching team.
- Assistant Teachers-Preschool/Toddler: Full-time positions, 35+ hours per week, with generous benefits. Be part of a classroom teaching team, sharing in observation, assessment, curriculum planning and commitment in making an impact in a child's life.
- Requirements: Associate Degree in ECE, OR 30 ECE credits+ 2 years teaching experience. Familiarity with CTELDS and DOTS is a plus. Salary is commensurate with educational level and experience.
- Part time positions, 15-20 hours per week. Be part of a classroom teaching team, assist teachers in preparing classroom materials, support children with transitions and build everlasting relationships with children.
- Requirements- 18 years old Highschool Diploma/GED or some ECE credits. Experience working with children, kind, reliable and punctual willing to work in a team.
