About This Role

A Joyful Noise Child Development Center in Centralia, WA is hiring a Lead Teacher to support daily operations at an early childhood education center. This position offers $18.53 – $20.93/Hr and requires relevant professional experience.

What You'll Do

• Cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment that reflects A Joyful Noise's values and promotes social, emotional, and cognitive growth in children.
• Implement strategies to guide positive behaviors and support the emotional, social, physical, and cognitive needs of every child.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with families, staff, state licensing authorities, and community contacts to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment.
• Observe and record children's growth, development, and behavior to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions.
• Plan individual and group activities that actively engage children and promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth.
• Ensure the learning environment is clean, hygienic, and safe for children and staff.
• Maintain accurate records, forms, and files to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues to foster a team environment and achieve shared goals.
• Assist with daily operational activities, including lesson planning and implementation.

Requirements

• MMR Vaccination
• Infant Safe Sleep & Mandated Reporter course
• Infant/Child CPR & First Aid certified
• Negative Tuberculosis (TB) test
• Food Handlers' card
• 30 STARS hours childcare basics course
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Cleared Background check through DCYF
• Nice to Have:
• An Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
• Experience in childcare or knowledge of Early Achievers and ProCare Software
• A strong understanding of child development and Washington Administrative Code (WAC) for childcare
