Lead Teacher

About This Role

Sweet P's Pre-K in Tucson, AZ is seeking a qualified Lead Teacher to work with Preschool (3–5), School Age (5–12) in a center-based, school-based pre-k, faith-based program environment. This position requires no formal credential — just relevant experience.

What You'll Do

• Create engaging lesson plans
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment
• Directly teach children, utilizing play-based and art projects
• Prepare meals and snacks
• Clean and maintain the classroom
• Assist with diaper changes and other essential tasks
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training
• Ensure behavioral accountability and promote positive behaviors

Requirements

• Demonstrate a genuine passion for working with children
• Valid Finger Print Clearance
• First Aid/CPR
• Successful Background Check
• 6 months of experience in a childcare center

• Nice to Have:
• Spanish language proficiency
• A religious background
• Responsible, careful, and diligent work ethic
• High energy levels
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to collaborate and work well with others
• Leadership skills and experience
• College credits or certifications
• Basic computer knowledge and skills
• Strong organizational skills
