Lead Teacher 4th Grade (Leave Coverage)

Position Description

Sacred Heart Schools is seeking a Lead Teacher, 4th Grade, Lower School (Leave Coverage) whose chief responsibility will be to work within the scope of the Goals and Criteria of Sacred Heart Education to teach 4th grade girls in a self-contained classroom. This opportunity is for maternity leave coverage and would run from August 17 2026 - November 13, 2026.

Essential Job Functions

• Designing and implementing instruction in core subjects aligned to national and state standards
• Curriculum formation, implementation, and evaluation
• Utilizing common assessments in conjunction with the grade team to evaluate student outcomes and inform instruction
• Working as an active and collaborative member of the grade level team and with other lower school faculty members
• Support, implement, and model the Goals and Criteria for Sacred Heart Schools
• Demonstrate appropriate planning and preparation for instruction
• Develop and maintain a classroom atmosphere that inspires learning
• Uphold professional standards of personal presentation, discretion, punctuality, and clear, direct, open communication
• Appropriately carry out specific assignments, including but not limited to assigned supervision and duties, and other areas as assigned by the Leadership Team
• Maintain professional credentials and/or certification as defined by our accrediting agency
• Align with teachers in other grades and divisions for vertical curriculum coordination
• Provide comprehensive parent communication and education concerning their students’ performance and progress

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred
• Demonstrate solid organizational skills and keen attention to detail
• Have excellent communication skills with service orientation
• Be highly motivated, ethical, and eager to learn
• Prioritize and multi-task effectively
• Enjoy working both independently and as a member of a team
• Continuously strive for process improvement and quality outcomes
• Have experience teaching in a differentiated style, including teaching small groups of students

Pay

Rate: $135/Daily based on experience and level of education. Additional compensation may be available for those with higher experience and education.
