About the role

The Space & Mission Systems (SMS) segment is seeking a proactive and results-driven Talent Management Generalist to join the Human Resources team.

Responsibilities

  • Program/Project Management:
    • Manage multiple talent and development programs, ensuring timely execution and alignment with business needs
    • Track and report on program outcomes, leveraging metrics to demonstrate impact
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate talent management strategies with broader HR initiatives such as compensation, benefits, and employee relations
    • Leverage HR technology platforms to drive projects, including talent analytics and HR information systems
  • Talent Reviews & Succession Planning:
    • Manage talent review processes to identify high-potential employees and key talent across the organization
    • Drive succession planning strategies to build leadership pipelines and address critical role requirements
    • Partner with leaders and HR to ensure alignment of talent plans with organizational goals
  • Leadership Development & Coaching:
    • Design and deliver leadership development programs to enhance management and executive capabilities
    • Coordinate and administer 360-degree feedback assessments and provide insights to support individual and team growth
    • Act as a coach or partner with external coaches to support leadership development initiatives
  • Training:
    • Develop and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and programs to build core competencies and drive employee engagement
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and recommend improvements
    • Engage with external vendors to coordinate employee participation in external training programs
    • Potential travel up to 5%
  • Organizational Design & Development:
    • Collaborate with leaders to design and implement organizational structures that align with strategic priorities
    • Conduct organizational effectiveness assessments and recommend solutions to enhance performance and engagement
    • Drive change management initiatives to support the successful adoption of new structures, processes, or technologies
  • Employee Engagement & Development:
    • Partner with HR and leadership teams to identify engagement improvement factors and create targeted engagement action plans
    • Maintain and monitor the effectiveness of talent initiatives and make data-driven recommendations for improvement
  • Talent Business Partner:
    • Serve as the Talent Partner for designated sector(s) and the HRBP community by providing strategic consultation and resources, and collaborating on engagement, performance management, learning and development, and talent management activities to enhance business and employee experience

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience; Or, Graduate degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
  • 7+ years of experience in human resources, talent management, leadership development, or organizational development roles
  • Experience in project management and program delivery
  • Experience in talent reviews, succession planning, and 360-degree feedback processes
  • Ability to design and facilitate leadership development and training programs
  • Experience in coaching and providing feedback to employees and leaders
  • Strong understanding of organizational design and effectiveness principles
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to analyze data and leverage insights to drive decision-making
