Lead Systems Engineer (MSP)

About the role

Serve as the highest-level technical escalation for complex infrastructure issues. Design, implement, and support Windows Server and Microsoft 365 environments. Provide technical direction and mentorship to Tier 1 and Tier 2 engineers. Lead infrastructure projects and migrations. Work directly with clients and participate in on-call rotations to ensure system stability. Support Azure & Entra ID administration, network engineering, and security efforts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the highest-level technical escalation for complex infrastructure issues
• Design, implement, and support Windows Server and Microsoft 365 environments
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to Tier 1 and Tier 2 engineers
• Lead infrastructure projects and migrations
• Work directly with clients and participate in on-call rotations to ensure system stability
• Support Azure & Entra ID administration, network engineering, and security efforts

Requirements

• Experience leading, mentoring, or providing technical direction to other engineers
• 5+ years in an MSP environment
• Proven Tier 3 or lead-level engineering experience
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Azure
• Extensive experience with networking technologies including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls
• Proven ability to handle high-level escalations and complex infrastructure issues
• Excellent customer-facing communication skills
